Back in April of this year 2019, we set eyes on the first live-action Sonic the Hedgehog movie trailer. And although for many followers it was a long-awaited time, it did not live up to the hype. Too many posts, memes, and jibes followed the original design of the beloved blue hedgehog that for many, was a symbol of their childhood. The outrage and mockery were so harsh that it prompted the filmmaker of the movie, Jeff Fowler, to make a statement on Twitter promising fans that the production will rework Sonic’s design to fit the followers’ expectations.
Sonic just got a modernized look in the new Sonic the Hedgehog movie trailer.
Compared to his old design, the new one seems better
And behold, today is the day. Over half a year passed and now we get to see the result of those promises. The second teaser for the Sonic the Hedgehog film dropped and people are in a hurry to see it. Not specifically for the latest scenes and material, no. The wide majority is there to see how they redesigned Sonic.
The video’s like-dislike average is 28k likes to 417 dislikes, suggesting a positive response from the followers.
The film is set to be released in the United States on February 14, 2020, and actors talents such as James Marsden, Jim Carrey, and Ben Schwartz, who’s going to lend his voice to Sonic.
We think the latest version is short terrifying than the first one was, but take a look for yourself and show us what you think!
