Singer Rihanna has called the President of the US Donald Trump, “the most mentally ill human being in America,” in the latest interview.
Talking to Vogue Magazine Newspaper for their November issue, Rihanna was requested her opinion of gun laws in the United States and quizzed about the rise of mass firing incidents in United States, such as the conflicts in El Pas in Texas and in Dayton in Ohio, which left a total of 32 person dead back in August.
Following the story of the slaughter of US citizens, President Donald Trump tweeted:
“Today’s shooting in El Paso, Texas, was not only tragic, it was an act of cowardice. I know that I stand with everyone in this Country to condemn today’s hateful act. There are no reasons or excuses that will ever justify killing innocent people. [sic]”
Trump later added:
“Mental illness and hatred pulls the trigger – not the gun.”
Replying to Trump’s comments, Rihanna stated:
“People are being murdered by war weapons that they legally purchase. This is just not normal. That should never, ever be normal. And the fact that it’s classified as something different because of the color of their skin? It’s a slap in the face. It’s completely racist.”
She also said:
“Put an Arab man with that same weapon in that same Walmart, and there is no way that Trump would sit there and address it publicly as a mental health problem. The most mentally ill human being in America right now seems to be the President.”
