Was Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson playing a contest to see just how many exciting things he could pack into one funny headline?
Maybe not, but when you have played The Mountain in the monumentally famous Tv series Game of Thrones, you are getting a fresh tattoo, and you are bench pressing another human being at the same time, I think it’s fair to say that you’re not accurately doing things by half.
Björnsson is now well known not just for his acting chops in Game of Thrones, but also for his powerful man feats. The sportsman did, after all, pull off a 1,041-pound deadlift to set a world record at the 2018 Arnold Strongman Classic.
If you follow Björnsson on social media, you will see he has made something of a habit of lifting his wife above his head.

In case you are focused on the new ink, Björnsson was getting; he followed up the excellent video with a photo of a new tattoo.
Speaking about his workout last year, he told;
“I train with heavyweights five times a week. I’m in the gym so often.”
“But there’s also a lot of other stuff I do outside of the gym. I do a lot of hot and cold treatments to make sure I stay injury-free, and so I can also train more often.”
